Disability Swimming Gala another great success
The Pembrokeshire Schools Disability Swimming Gala was recently held at Fishguard Leisure Centre and the event was another great success as nearly 40 pupils from primary and secondary Schools took part and enjoyed the chance to show the skills across the range of strokes, and received medals as their reward.
The gala was sponsored for the 16
th successive year by Stena Line and there were 10 events with lots of heats which ranged from 9-metre assisted float to 25m and 50-metre breaststroke, freestyle and butterfly.
The swimmers’ times were recorded and it is hoped that some participants will be identified to sign up for the Swim Wales Para talent ID programme
